Frequently Asked Questions About Boot Camp Fitness

 

Q. How long has Boot Camp Fitness been in operation?
A. While Hpbody has been around for almost 10 years, boot camp fitness is a new concept put together by brothers Anthony and Rocco to help other people realize their fitness goals.

Q. What's in it for me? What can BOOT CAMP do for me?
A. The goals are simple: health and fitness. The program is patterned after the workouts of recruits in United States Army boot camp and the results are proven. Weight / fat loss, muscle strength and tone, strong heart and lungs, increased endurance and stamina are but a few of the physical benefits you'll get from Fitness Boot Camp. Add to that an increase in self confidence, youthful appearance, well being, positive attitude, and increased energy.

Q. What is your military background?
A. After the tragedy of September 11th. Rocco heard the call to serve. He made the decision late 2006 to answer that call, leaving behind a thriving electrical contracting business.

Q. What do I need to bring to BOOT CAMP?
A. There are 4 key elements to success. Be at the right place, at the right time, with the right attitude, and the right equipment. Everyday bring the towel, canteen, and uniform you were issued. A good pair of running shoes is a must, and you should ALWAYS bring a positive "CAN DO!" attitude!

Q. What must I do to see results?
A. All you have to do is give 110%, at least 110% of the time, and if you can't we will be right there to motivate and encourage you.

Q. What is your fitness background?
A. Anthony and Rocco have been athletes all of their lives. Anthony, an accomplished high school wrestler has been training since the age of 10. Currently he holds a certification in personal training and has been training clients since 2003. Rocco is an accomplished mixed martial artist who pursues excellence in everything that he does. He currently holds a certifications in personal training and modern army combatives.


Q. What do we do if it's raining?
A. If it's raining cats and dogs, we will gather in the gymnasium at Christ Methodist.

Q. How often is boot camp fitness offered?
A. This program is offered four days a week for three weeks beginning on June 30th

Q. Can I join at any time?
A. You can join anytime up to the registration cut off point which is June 1st

Q. How challenging are the workouts?
A. The workouts are challenging and you'll be sore for a few days. This is good and normal. Just stay at it and don't quit!!!

Q. How can I get up in the morning on a consistent basis?
A. Contrary to what many think, I am NOT a morning person. I have to be "dynamited" out of the bed! Here are some tips to help you get going in the morning:

  1. Use two alarm clocks. I have a snooze alarm that starts going off several minutes before I intend to get up. Then I have a "Last Call" alarm clock that is located across the room. This alarm clock is set to go off when I MUST get up.

  2. Once the last call alarm goes off, the bed become OFF LIMITS! Get moving!

  3. Get out of bed, turn off the alarm clock, and start turning on lights all through the house. Turn on the TV.

  4. Lay out your clothes the night before. Don't go wandering around the house in the morning trying to find your left shoe and your favorite shorts. So, have things ready the night before.
